Self-Guided Tour Route Options

Choose from three self-guided GPS routes. Fuel station way points are included in the files. All three routes pass through Golden Gate State Park. Please check your vehicle registration to confirm your state parks pass is valid.

  • ADV Dual Sport: At approx. 140 miles, this is the longest route including easy to moderate off-road sections. The route is suitable for more experienced riders. This route also includes the popular Switzerland Trail off-road route.
  • ADV Standard: At approx. 126 miles, this route includes a great mix of paved and dirt/gravel back roads. This route is suitable for most riders comfortable riding on dirt/gravel with suitable tires. This is a fun route with no off-road obstacles. This route took 4 hours and 30 minutes at 35 MPH average speed including a 45 minute rest stop and short construction traffic delays. Please plan for 5 to 7 hours of riding depending on your pace, rest stops, traffic, and unforeseen delays.
