Colorado Rockies High-Alpine Dual Sport Motorcycle Tour

This is an all-inclusive guided tour for the more adventurous dual sport rider who is seeking an exciting high-alpine off-road experience with a small group of riders. This exclusive tour experience includes accommodations and meals at our base camp where our rides will start and end each day. Our base camp is located outside of Fairplay, Colorado at 11,000 feet in the Mosquito Range.

Our curated 250+ mile route is tailored for those who relish the call of the wild and the roar of an engine under them. This intermediate+ level guided adventure tour weaves you through the majestic Ten Mile Range, over the Mosquito Range, and into the heart of Summit, Park and Lake counties. We’ll finish our ride with a section of the Colorado Backcountry Discovery route through the Buffalo Peaks Wilderness area. Each mile brings a new discovery, with landscapes that shift from towering peaks to open valleys, promising an unforgettable adventure at every turn. Arrive back to base camp each day to share stories with fellow riders and enjoy hosted food and beverages.

Itinerary

• Day 1: Arrive by 3 PM and Welcome Dinner and Orientation
• Day 2: Warm up ride through Park County to Breckenridge over Georgia Pass and back to Fairplay over Boreas Pass.
• Day 3: Longer ride over Browns Pass and Weston pass down Arkansas River to Buena Vista and back up the CO BDR to Fairplay.
• Day 4: Depart by noon

• Important Notes: This is a high-alpine experience. Base camp is located at 11,000 feet. If you are arriving from sea level and do not have experience traveling at higher elevations, you should consider acclimating in Denver before arriving at base camp. Small trailer parking is available at base camp if you decide to haul your motorcycle.

A group of friends and I took an excellent tour with Eric @solidride.com last weekend around Fairplay, Colorado.

Eric chose an exciting route that matched our intermediate skill level, including long straight dirt roads with beautiful scenery on the open country where you could let the throttle go while being safe and within speed limit, paved twisty roads in the mountains, and the beautiful unpaved Boreas Pass.

He started the trip letting us know what to expect with a focus on safety to ensure everyone would be comfortable and safe. He made a few stops before the trickiest spots to remind us of what to expect, and he took great photos of the group along the way.

The tour was spot-on regarding our experience level and length of time, and we had lunch at the restaurant and bar at the highest altitude in the Americas, in Alma. To top it all off, Eric arranged great accommodations for us while in the area.

Last weekend, we had an incredible 90-mile ride around South Park, CO, with Eric from @solidride.com. The route was a perfect mix of stunning paved roads near Fairplay and Breckenridge and thrilling unpaved tracks, including Elkhorn Road and my personal favorite, Boreas Pass. We wrapped up the day with a fantastic lunch in Alma.

Eric's support throughout the ride was top-notch. His thorough briefing on the roads ahead, attention to safety, and ability to set a pace that suited everyone were spot on. He assessed our skill levels perfectly and chose a route that was both enjoyable and just challenging enough to keep things exciting. I can't wait to see the photos he took of us!

We also stayed at Base Camp for a few nights, where Eric’s hospitality was outstanding. I’m already looking forward to returning and exploring more of the amazing routes Eric has planned.
