Experience an epic dual sport adventure motorcycle tour through the heart of the Colorado Rockies over four iconic mountain passes and a section of the Colorado Backcountry Discovery Route.
This tour is for the more adventurous dual sport rider who is seeking an exciting high-alpine off-road experience. This exclusive tour includes accommodations and meals at our base camp where our rides will start and end each day. Our base camp is located outside of Fairplay, Colorado at 11,000 feet in the Mosquito Range.
Our curated 250+ mile route is tailored for those who relish the call of the wild and the roar of an engine under them. This intermediate+ level adventure tour weaves you through the majestic Ten Mile Range, over the Mosquito Range, and into the heart of Summit, Park and Lake counties. We’ll finish our ride with a section of the Colorado Backcountry Discovery route through the Buffalo Peaks Wilderness area. Each mile brings a new discovery, with landscapes that shift from towering peaks to open valleys, promising an unforgettable adventure at every turn. Arrive back to base camp each day to share stories with fellow riders and enjoy hosted food and beverages.

- Important Notes: This is a high-alpine experience. Base camp is located at 11,000 feet. If you are arriving from sea level and do not have experience traveling at higher elevations, you should consider acclimating in Denver before arriving at base camp. Small trailer parking is available at base camp if you decide to haul your motorcycle.

Are accommodations included in the tour price?
No, we do not include accommodations in the SolidRide tour booking price, but we provide you with the total approximate cost of the tour including the third-party hotel fees. We've negotiated exclusive hotel rates which need to be booked through our private booking links in step 2 of the registration process. The third-party hotel inclusions are communicated on the tour registration page.

Can I book my own hotel and accommodations?
Yes, participants have the option to arrange their own lodging at any hotel of their choosing, at their own cost. Please note that guests selecting alternate accommodations will forfeit any amenities and services provided directly by Origin Hotel in the third-party booking fee. All participants must arrive at the designated staging area on time each morning to join the guided tour; latecomers will not be waited for and run the risk of missing the tour departure.
Do you rent motorcycles?
No, we do not rent motorcycles directly through SolidRide, but we can help facilitate the process with Colorado Motorcycle Adventures. When requesting a tour quote we will ask you if you need help with a motorcycle rental.
Can I bring my own motorcycle?
Yes, you can bring your own motorcycle. We welcome street-legal dual sport and adventure motorcycles setup for off-road riding. We will communicate the recommended motorcycle on the tour registration page. All riders will be required to complete a motorcycle equipment checklist before the tour.
- Dual sport or adventure bike setup for off-road riding
- Fuel-Injection or Smart Carburetor
- Larger fuel tank (3 gallons or more)
- DOT off-road capable tire (in good condition)
- Small rack/pouch or soft panniers to carry water/snacks, layers, and extra fuel (if required)
- Street-legal with current registration and insurance
Do I need a motorcycle license?
Yes, a current and active motorcycle license or endorsement is required to book a motorcycle tour.
What rider experience level is required?
We support intermediate to expert motorcycle riders with experience riding on paved mountain passes, dirt/gravel roads and unmaintained two track roads. The experience-level required for the tour will be communicated on the booking page.
What is the tour group size?
We specialize in small group tours with a minimum of 2 riders and a maximum of 8 riders. Our average group size is between 4 and 6 riders.
Are your tour guides experienced?
Our crew brings more than 30 years of off-road riding experience and professional training from NOLS, Red Cross, and the International Guide Academy.
Is food included in the tour price?
We generally include some or all food with our multi-day tours. Some single day tours may not include food. Please check the tour registration page for details on what is included or excluded in the price.
